Regulatory Compliance, Site Characterization, Groundwater Monitoring
EJC conducted a Phase I / Phase II environmental site assessment and
a Site Characterization for a former metal products manufacturing site.
Historical records revealed an inadvertant release of 1,1,1-trichloroethane
(TCE). Contaminated soil was removed, but TCE and breakdown compounds
found in groundwater samples were above action levels. The Site Characterization
was designed to delineate vertical and horizontal extent of impact to
groundwater for these dense, non-aqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) compounds.
